Hauhia river trail

Hauhia river trail

HAUHIA RIVER TRAIL.

Hauhian Jokipolku starts from Hauhian Mill. The trail begins at the edge of a field, where a sign reads "Tervasilta." The path along the banks of the Vaalimaanjoki River stretches approximately 700 meters. Along the route, there is a pedestrian bridge, "Tervasilta," that crosses small Hauhiansaara.

In wet weather, be prepared with waterproof footwear. During summer, regular sneakers will suffice. The trail section ends at Kierinkalliontie, where another sign for "Tervasilta" can be found. Kierinkalliontie leads to Hauhiantie, which brings you back to the mill. The route can also be followed clockwise.

Please note that the area is low-lying and may occasionally be affected by flooding.

The Vaalimaanjoki River is a natural habitat for waterfowl. Please treat nature gently—stay on marked trails and do not litter.
